Adult Treatment

It is never too late to have a healthy smile. Teeth can be straightened at any age. Advantages of orthodontic treatment are many. Straight teeth and a great-looking smile is an obvious benefit however, stability and improving the health of your gums and teeth are equally important. Crooked teeth and improper bite can contribute to bone loss, abnormal wear of the teeth, headaches and sometimes jaw joint pain (TMJ).

New lower force technology and materials work in conjunction with the muscles of the face, tongue, bone and tissue. Lower force minimizes discomfort and greatly increases the number of cases that can be treated without extractions. This revolutionary new approach to orthodontics ensures greater comfort throughout treatment decreases the frequency of visits and shortens treatment time

The psychological advantage is huge to some people and can be life-changing in a positive way. Straight teeth, improved function and a great looking smile that will last a lifetime are a life-long investment that benefits a person in so many wonderful ways.

With a simple, complementary examination, Dr Nazarov will be able to determine if you can benefit from orthodontic treatment.

No matter what your age, orthodontic treatment is one of the best investments that you can make in yourself. We are looking forward to working with you toward your goal of a beautiful, healthy smile.

Early/Child Treatment

Orthodontic treatment is available to patients of all ages. In accordance with the American Association of Orthodontists, we recommend that children have their first orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7. Early treatment provides a range of benefits and often means that a patient can avoid surgery or other serious complications. By the age of 7 most children have a mix of adult and baby teeth and developing orthodontic problems become easy to spot by the Orthodontist.

Many times this initial exam will reveal minor (if any) problems and Dr Nazarov may elect to monitor your child’s dental development by placing them on a periodic observation schedule, thus gives the parent peace of mind. In other instances severe, developing orthodontic problems may be diagnosed, requiring early intervention. Early treatment may be indicated in the following situations: crossbite, openbite, severe overbite, severe crowding, facial imbalances and for self esteem, to name a few.

Often times these early, interceptive treatments are considered “Phase I” treatment which is usually followed by a “Phase II” comprehensive treatment once all baby teeth have fallen out. Phase I treatment benefits patients by influencing jaw growth in a positive manner, improving eruption patterns by preserving or gaining space for erupting teeth, correcting harmful oral habits, improving function and stability, reducing the likelihood of impacted permanent teeth, improving esthetics and self esteem, and shorten treatment time of possible necessary future Phase II ortho procedures.

Even a youngster want to look and feel good, so before the age of 7, schedule an orthodontic exam and evaluation for your child.
